2.We wish to extend the Lord's blessing to John and Amy Wu
as they will be moving to California. We thank them
for their years of service and love here at CCFC and we
pray that God will care for all their needs.
3. The Bible study schedule
for September is available in the foyer in the church.
Please pick it up and join the program.
4. The Spiritual Maturity Ministry will meet next Sunday
morning at 8:30 AM.
5. Our all church cleaning project will take place
Saturday, September 9 beginning at 9:00 AM. Please
sign up in the foyer.
6. Next Sunday will be the baptismal service for
individuals from the English Congregation. Please
plan to attend.
7. A new class to prepare individuals for baptism will
begin in September. If you would like to join,
please speak to Bro. Alex.
8. September 9 is the date for the united Worship.
This is a new opportunity supported by many of the Chinese
churches in the greater metropolitan area to bring
together young adults for worship and prayer. If you
would like more information, please speak to Bro. Alex.
9. The Urbana 2000 Missions Conference will be held
Dec.26-31. We encourage all of our university
students to attend and to be challenged concerning God's
will for this world and how He desires to accomplish His
will. If you would like more information,
please speak to Bro. Alex. Our church is offering 10
scholarships to students to help them
attend. If you would like more information, please
contact Bro. Alex.
10. The new season for Echoettes will begin in
September. This children's choir is for all children from
second grade through sixth grade. If you would like
to enroll your child or would like more information,
please speak to En Chen or Marlene Go.
11. Our church library has several new videos that
you may check out. Of special interest are three
videos dealing with creation and evolution. See Ed
Mar for more details.
12. Rev. Moses Keng, who has pastored our church for the
past 20 years, will be retiring at the end of the
year. The church board has approved to invite Rev.
Matthew Lin to assume the new position of Senior Pastor
beginning January 2001, and will seek confirmation through
the congregational voting in November.
